Results from the Management Success! Seminar
I wasn't really sure of Management Success before I went to the seminar. I couldn't quite see how it was going to help me. I couldn't see how the shop would run without me being in the office or fixing cars.
There was a young gentleman helping at the seminar and I asked him what he thought about the seminar. I mean what he really thought about it. He told me that every shop that does the exact steps that Management Success tells them to do, gets the exact same results. He said "It doesn't vary, if you do what Management Success tells you to do, you will get a given result". Well, I thought if those guys were getting results, then maybe I should try it and see if I could get those results. So I did exactly what Management Success said to do.
When I realized that it really does work if you just do what they say, I got over the big hurdles. I didn't want to be the guy working on the cars anymore, so I hired a service writer and a tech. Once I was able to do that and step away, things really started to improve. A lot of the headaches were gone. What that man said was true, you get the same results every time.
Management Success allowed me to fulfill one of my dreams - to build a new shop. When I was constantly wrenching and service writing, I could never get the plans going and the process started to build a new building. Once I got a good service writer, good techs and things flowed without me there to direct it all, I was able to take some time during the day to get on with my goals. I was able to be away from the business enough to accomplish my goals.
