Results from the Management Success! Seminar
We opened Falcon Auto Service Center 4 years ago. We designed the building, purchased equipment, hired employees, set our prices and had money to pay all of the bills. We accomplished this without ever having worked in the automotive field until the first day we unlocked our door. The American dream was a success! The only problem was I was working 6 days a week, 70-80 hours, and was the second lowest paid employee on our staff. My wife did not have a husband and my kids did not have a dad but that was the way it is supposed to be when you own a small business, right?
I would receive the Management Success information and think "I ought to attend the seminar", place it in the pile on my desk, and by the time I was sorting through the pile the date had already passed. After a period of time we did finally attend the seminar and that's when things began to change.
We started implementing some of the ideas & techniques we were learning and WOW, what a difference it has made. One of the biggest changes was deciding to close on Saturdays. After implementing the new hours, my wife would tell our neighbors "if you see a strange man mowing our yard don't worry, it's just my husband!" Not only do we get to enjoy our weekends as a family but our entire staff comes in Monday morning refreshed and ready to go. I was willing to take a loss in sales to be open one less day a week but the amazing thing is that sales actually increased! Increased sales, an increase in the average repair order, and most importantly the greatest increase has been in our profit. All of these are the direct results of the Management Success Program.
