My name is Blake Brueggeman. I've been in the automotive repair industry for about twenty-seven years now, and have owned my own repair shop for about twelve of them in Grand Junction, CO.

Back in 2001 my shop desperately needed help. I had always been a good tech, but as an owner it wasn't the cars I needed to work on, it was the business. I had over $20k in debts and was on COD with many of my vendors. I didn't know how I was going to pay things off. It was like I was wearing concrete shoes and sitting there with them hanging over the railing of the pier.

The workflow in my shop was the equivalent of burning up a clutch, trying to move a vehicle with the brakes locked up. There seemed to be no way to push or pull myself out of that situation. However, after going to the Management Success seminar it was a whole different story! My business is a lot more streamlined now, and is making quite a bit more money annually. I now have a good crew of techs and a service writer who is doing great and is helping with the marketing of the shop. We just recently moved into a new shop, which has increased our number of customers. The whole shop is working as a team now and we have gone from being "stuck" to hitting overdrive and gaining speed.
