Results from the Management Success! Seminar

We used to do a lot of overtime. It was not uncommon for me and some of my guys to work 60 or 70 hours a week. We had no problem working hard, it is just we didn't get the return one would expect from all of those hours. My production was poor and our systems were old. We were just doing things the way we always did, and it wasn't much fun.

I got a letter from another shop owner telling me about a management seminar put on by a company called Management Success, and how much it had changed the way he did business and how much better things were from what he learned. He was encouraging me to go for myself and check it out.

I was kind of skeptical but made the decision to go to one of their seminars. At the seminar I found myself amazed at how much the speaker knew about my business and the problems I was having in trying to run a successful and profitable shop. I learned why I was not achieving my goals and the mistakes I was making. I'm a good technician and learned a lot about business over 40 years, but it was the things I didn't know that was causing me so much stress.

It's taken a lot of the tension and stress out of running my business. I work 5 days a week where I used to work late at night and weekends. I probably put in about 48 hours a week with more free time and the weekends off.
